A Fourth of July picnic is ideal for sharing simple foods, celebrating the country, and enjoying time with family and friends. As hot as the weather may be, there is no need to sweat the menu or the decorations. These tips will help you create a simple, memorable patriotic picnic that everyone will enjoy! Focus on finger foods that can be prepared in advance and easily served, such as homemade cookies, fresh fruit, and other summer favorites. Display food on cake stands for an appealing arrangement and increased tablespace.

Red, white, or blue items from your home contribute to the mood even if they are not themed, such as signs, dishes, ribbons, tablecloths, flags, and flowers.
A charcuterie board is easy to assemble with items from your local grocery store, including meats, fruits, olives, nuts, and cheeses.
Raid your home collection of mason jars and bottles to hold a variety of Italian soda flavors, or other refreshing beverages. Place colorful paper straws near the drinks for a festive and environmentally friendly way to sip.
Incorporate items you own into the décor or utensils, such as old glass jars, milk glass bowls, and serving pieces. Maintain this reusable theme with cotton dinner napkins, silverware, and glassware, especially if they are red, white, or blue! There may be more clean up involved, but these items create a unique, classic presentation while minimizing waste.
For a simple, minimal clean up dessert, fill pint-sized glass jars with banana pudding. Pre-made individual servings are easily packed, stored, and served to children and adults.
Remember to relax, celebrate, and spend time with your guests creating lasting memories.
