Searching for something cool to do with friends and family this summer? Look no further than the new ice cream parlor and hang-out spot, Dripping Springs Delights! With a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and some of the most delicious ice cream around, this shop offers more than just tasty treats. The parlor welcomes guests to stop by and read, attend one of the workshops, and play games with friends!

Dripping Springs Delights is a family-owned and operated ice cream shop and artisan market that invites customers to stop by and relax while enjoying a cool treat. Many visitors describe the experience as feeling “just like home” as soon as they walk through the doors. Founded in 2018, Dripping Springs Delights is the very definition of Southern hospitality and family-friendly charm with a modern flair.

The family-friendly dessert parlor serves ice cream, frozen yogurt, and non-dairy sorbet in your choice of a cone or cup with over thirty topping options. Visitors will find a variety of soda floats and beverages to quench any summer thirst! The Delights’ Giant Candy Wall features an assortment of taffy, rock candy, old-fashion candy sticks, lollipops, fudge, and chocolate.

The Artisan Marketplace portion features an assorted display of handcrafted gifts, locally-made home décor, jewelry, candles, Texas souvenirs, local jarred gourmet goods, boutique and children clothing and accessories, and other unique treasures. In addition, Delights has a rental space that can be used for small parties, group meetings, and special gatherings of any kind! The parlor also hosts craft workshops, educational activities, and other scheduled community events. The workshops and activities, which are listed on the parlor’s website, are both unique and fun for different age groups. Delights recently hosted a wood snake creation workshop geared toward younger guests followed by a workshop designed for teens and adults to make their own hand-strung pearl necklaces. Because Delights is always focused on creating the best guest experience possible, the owners welcome workshop and activity ideas from anyone.

Many families said that they love to come to Delights to relax, enjoy a treat with friends, and play some of the games in the store, including foosball, a giant Connect-4, and more than thirty other board games! Kids can read one of the many children’s books available while their parents flip through the local magazines or newspapers. The parlor offers a break from the summer sun, but the outdoor patio is always a lovely option, as well. Always welcoming guests, Delights is open seven days a week.

Dripping Springs Delights represents more than just delicious treats and handcrafted goods for owner Brittany Presti; the parlor is the embodiment of her value of community and family. Her background in childhood & special education with a Master’s in literacy and several years of teaching experience lead into her desire to play a greater role in the community. Dripping Springs Delights reflects her greatest passions and provides those opportunities.

“It is so fun to be creative, share special moments with families who come in, and smile and laugh with our customers each and every day. Our commitment to the community is to provide a safe, clean, light-hearted friendly environment that people of all ages love!” Presti said.

She explained that her mission is to be involved with a variety of non-profit organizations, the nearby community library, and the local school district. Being positive role models and giving back to the community are the top priorities of both Brittany and her husband, Derek. In fact, they are proud members of the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Not only is Delights worth planning a day trip to visit, Dripping Springs’ Mercer Street is also located between a variety of wineries, breweries, and distilleries. “Mercer Street is growing with a variety of clothing and gift boutiques, home décor stores, small music venues, music lessons for children across street, dance classes for kids in the same plaza, and several places to grab adult beverages on street, etc.,” Presti explained.

A visit to Delights is a must for anyone looking for a cool rest from the summer sun. Stop in to taste the delightful treats, attend one of the many unique workshops, pick up a handcrafted gift created by local artisans, or just to visit one of the coolest spots in Dripping Springs!

A cheese board is all you need to serve guests. However, in order to stand alone, the food you place on the board needs to be exceptional and varied. Provide quality ingredients to ensure fantastic flavor and offer an assortment of cheeses with a variety of preserved and fresh foods to add pops of color to the board. With a fifteen-minute investment, you can have a truly artful display. The added bonus? There is virtually no cleanup.
