Pumpkin Picking Across Texas

A trip to pick pumpkins is the perfect family outing or cute date activity. Get outside and enjoy these pumpkin farms near you!

Maxwell’s Pumpkin Farm

Pick your own pumpkin, explore the giant maze, and experience the many fun activities for families: milk Maxine the wooden milk cow, ride a wagon train, fire an apple cannon, climb a hay pyramid, and more. Watch fireworks light up the sky above the pumpkin patch on certain Saturday nights in October.

Shadow Creek Pumpkin Farm

Open for the month of October, pick pumpkins and other fall harvest items to prepare your home for fall. Take the kids through pumpkin decorating stations, a petting zoo, pumpkin bowling, and an abundance of picture-perfect areas perfect to snag that fall family photo.

Floydada Punkin Days

Get pumpkins from the Floydada Pumpkin patch, and then head over to Punkin Days at the Floyd County Courthouse. The weekend-long festival includes pumpkin carving, arts and crafts booths, seed spitting contests, and more!

Well known for their impressive corn maze, this farm also offers visitors the chance to purchase a pumpkin from their patch, test their aim with a corn cannon, and take a hayride to Pumpkin Hollow to view illuminated carved pumpkins.

Fiddlesticks Farms

Fiddlesticks Farms offers over 25 family-friendly attractions in addition to their 10-acre pumpkin patch. Reserve a campfire to gather around with your family, roasting s’mores and watching the “Farmtastick Fireworks” display on Saturday evenings in October.

With over 30 types of pumpkins to choose from, everyone in the family will be sure to find their perfect gourd – ranging from butternut, Crystal Star, Knucklehead, Small Jacks, and many more. Other activities include a corn maze, playground, games, and the Circle S Express barrel train.

Maddie’s Pumpkin Patch

This pumpkin patch lasts through the end of November, before making way for Christmas festivities. Locations in Weslaco, McAllen, and Mission offer pumpkins galore.
