Of all the many businesses that Texasliving has featured, some are unique in that they are run by couples. Whether they got into it through a family business, a shared passion, or some other way, here are a few of the entrepreneurial couples that have been featured.

Hurd & Honey was created in December 2011 out of a simple need. Kristin had an overflowing book collection, and Sam, having recently left his position in the corporate world, set out to build a bookshelf for her. Finding he had both passion and skill with woodworking, Sam spent the next year building various pieces, learning and refining his craft and working with reclaimed wood, which would later become one of their signature processes. Over that time, he slowly began making different pieces. By January 2013, Hurd & Honey began selling what would later be known as their staple: reclaimed wood framed mirrors.
